Bad Energy Gone Good

While at Ultimate Boxing and Fitness I came into contact with a man named Rafael who told me an uplifting story about his son, David Malki. David started out at Cooper City high school, and saying he had a bad experience would be an understatement. With forty five detentions, getting into fights and grades between D’s and F’s in a matter of five months it wasn’t hard to infer that something was off beam. Whether Ultimate Boxing and Fitness came to him or he came to them it improved his well being. Now attending Pembook Pines, David is getting straight A’s and keeping himself out of trouble. He practices mixed martial arts in the cage at Ultimate Boxing and Fitness, which has taken away his urge to fight because like most growing men, David was not one to back down. Mixed martial arts have helped David to become more disciplined and to concentrate better on his school work. I and Rafael both feel that this change in direction of David’s life has something to do with his new membership and interest at Ultimate Boxing and Fitness. Taking out frustration in the gym has steered him away from taking it out outside of the gym. It takes a lot of courage and will to turn bad energy into good, in David’s case he came out on top.
